First of all, Elevate Student Ministries is a part of East Ellijay Baptist Church. Elevate was started in the summer of 2005 when our church felt the need to do something drastic to reach teens with the life-changing message of Jesus. It's still a toddler! We started with huge dreams of seeing young people meet Jesus, fall in love with Him, and choose to follow Him with their lives. So far, God has done that in the lives of countless teenagers. Elevate has grown into a special community of teens and adults (affectionately called Lifeguards) who are following Jesus together. We're by no means perfect; but we've found Jesus, who loved us enough to die in our place before we even knew Him. We've decided that there's no better life than living God's way. We believe if you're willing to give Elevate a try, you'll find some new and lasting friendships. We're like family around here. Plus, you'll discover how crazy awesome it is to follow Jesus! So, go for it! Drop in and visit us at any of our programs or events this week!

So what do I need to know before I come?
Got Questions? Question: Who is going to be there? Answer: Well anywhere from 75-115 6th-12th students from all over. Everyone's welcome! Question: What should I wear to Elevate? Answer: Basically what you'd wear anytime...it's casual. Question: What will happen at Elevate? Answer: Wednesday Nights are crazy. Virtually every night we have a live band leading modern worship songs; most nights we have a silly game of some kind. We often pray together. Dont worry, we'll never put you on the spot to pray aloud. Most nights a student leader will share a truth God has shown them. Eric will give a message on something from the Bible that you can apply to your life and we usually close with a song or prayer. It's hard to know exactly what will happen because it's so different week to week. See our programs pages for more info. Question: Is it just for Christians? Answer: No. Most of the students who attend are followers of Jesus, but there are many others who are coming with questions and are still deciding if they want to follow Jesus. The Big 3
We believe that God has made you special and has an amazing journey ahead of you. You only have to choose to follow Him. At Elevate we want to be sure that we give you every opportunity to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ. We offer three weekly encounters with God in three very different environments so you can find exactly what you need to take the next step in your faith. First, there’s Elevate, a high energy, fun-filled, large group worship experience for 6th—12th grade. There’s passionate worship with our praise band, a little craziness, and a relevant message from the Bible. Second, there’s Sunday a.m. Bible Study, a deeper look into God’s word with a smaller group of students. Finally, there are Small Groups, intense highly-accountable groups of students led by our adult “lifeguards” who are committed to one-another for a semester. This is where you’ll find deep relationships and life-changing principles that will help you become who God wants you to be. Get involved with all three!
