The music begins and the drums beat as the room fills
with the sound of the Daraja Children’s Choir of Africa.
Dressed in their vibrant costumes with radiant smiles on
their faces, the children express the joy and hope they
have found in Christ through African song and dance.
Daraja means “bridge” in Swahili, and these 24
orphaned and vulnerable children have journeyed
across the bridge all the way from Kenya to bring you
a taste of African worship and praise. The Choir wishes
to inspire you with the hope and love they have found
in Jesus Christ, in spite of the severe hardships they
have faced. Their performances are a blend of
traditional African song and dance and contemporary
Christian music, which shares that hope in a unique
and powerful way.
The Daraja Choir came to be with us in November of 2008. It was an unbelievable experience for all of us. We couldn't help but fall in love with these wonderful kids. They sang their hearts out and danced for Jesus to share their message of hope. We have partnered with the 410 bridge to bring lasting transformation to Kenya and hope you will join us in this mission. Please see their home page and visit www.410bridge.org for information on how you can be a part of this wonderful partnership.
We are so pleased to announce that the Choir will be returning November 15th! Make plans to attend! |
